Remember in grade school when the science
teacher took a fan then held up a piece of cardboard in front it and lit a match >> we were all so surprised because the flame went toward the fan. This uses the same theory; you put the back of the GrillGuard toward the wind and all the heat that was normally lost
is now forced back into the barbecue grill, so it gets unbelievably hot!!
Searing meat quickly on both sides, a "trick" used by all great barbecue chefs, keeps it from drying out and keeps meat extra juicy!!
A 1" thick rib-eye steak cooked medium rare takes 5 minutes a side and all the juices are seared in instead of baking them out....... when you are cooking your "great burgers" you can now sear them on each side, because your grill gets much hotter.
